NGC 6229 is a small GC in Hercules discovered by Wilhelm Herschel already in 1787. The size is really small with 4,5 arcmin only. On the other hand he is quite bright with a magnitude of 9,4 m.
He is located in the outer Halo of our Milky Way in a distance of about 100.000 Lj.  This is 5 times farther away than M13.
Data are from 2017. This is one of the pictures which disappeared on Astrobin some years ago, therefor new processing.
